60 Years Strong—and Our Biggest, Best Convention Yet
The Florida-Alabama Outdoor Hospitality Convention & Expo is where the outdoor hospitality industry comes together to learn, connect, and grow—and 2026 is a milestone year you don’t want to miss. We’re heading back to Orlando for April 28 – May 1, 2026 at Rosen Shingle Creek, and this year promises to be the biggest and best yet as we celebrate our 60th anniversary.
For six decades, the Florida & Alabama RV Park & Campground Association has championed RV parks and campgrounds through changing times—advocating for the industry, building partnerships, and equipping park owners and operators with the resources to thrive. That legacy is worth celebrating—and we’re doing it in the best way possible: by bringing the industry together for an unforgettable convention experience.
A Legacy Built by Park Owners
Sixty years ago, a small but determined group of campground owners recognized the need for a unified voice to support, protect, and advance Florida’s growing outdoor hospitality industry. From day one, the focus was simple and powerful: collaboration, shared knowledge, and solving real operational challenges—the same priorities that continue to guide the Association today.
1960s–1970s: Laying the Foundation
As RV travel surged, the Association helped establish industry standards, strengthened communication among park owners, and advocated for fair, workable regulations. These early years created the foundation for what the Association is known for today: practical support, trusted education, and a strong voice for parks.
1980s–1990s: Growth and Advocacy
As Florida expanded rapidly, the Association stepped up advocacy efforts to ensure campground and RV park interests were represented in legislative and regulatory discussions. Education grew, vendor relationships expanded, and the annual conference became an even more valuable hub—helping parks stay ahead of shifting guest expectations and operational demands.
2000s: Professionalization and Modernization
Entering a new era, the Association embraced professional development, marketing initiatives, and technology. Training opportunities improved, communication channels strengthened, and partnerships deepened—helping members compete and evolve while preserving what makes Florida’s parks and resorts special.
2010s–Today: Resilience and Innovation
Through economic shifts, environmental challenges, and industry-wide transformation, the Association continued to lead—emphasizing leadership development, emergency preparedness, sustainability, and member engagement. Regional involvement and volunteer leadership grew, ensuring parks across Florida and the Southeast had a seat at the table.
Join the Celebration—And Build What’s Next
Today, the Association represents a diverse community of parks, resorts, and industry partners, united by six decades of dedication and service. And 2026 is our chance to celebrate that legacy—together.
At this year’s convention, expect an energizing lineup of valuable education, hands-on learning, and powerful networking—plus a top-tier Supplier Expo featuring 90+ leading companies showcasing the newest products and services for parks and resorts. Whether you’re a seasoned operator or building what’s next, you’ll leave with fresh ideas, stronger relationships, and real takeaways you can put to work immediately.
